Scott, we appreciate your inquiry. It would not be honest of us to attempt to give you an estimate on what it would take to repair your vehicle as we have not seen it. We can give you a ballpark if we are able to assess the vehicle. It is possible that it is not the piston rod, but we would really need to look at the car and diagnose what the problem is. We have two amazing mechanics as well as an engineer here at our shop who would be more than qualified to assess the situation. If you would like to schedule a time to bring it by, we would be more than happy to assist you. Thanks!

I want to have my 2001 PT Cruiser candy painted. It sounds like you only do older cars. Can you recommend a good prep and painter. I live near George Bush and the Tollway. I want some one who is good and am willing to pay for a top quality custom paint job. I am not interested in someone who has minimal experience painting pear and candy.

Hey guys. I have a 1968 Dodge Dart (270) with what I assume is a broken piston rod. Car still runs, but has a nasty knock. As soon as it happened, I limped it back home and parked it. I have no idea where to even begin with getting this thing fixed. :(

I have no idea how much it will cost to repair, or what a reasonable price even looks like. I had one shop tell me it would be about $10,000, which just doesn't sound right at all. If it's gonna be $10,000, I'll just have to junk it, or figure it out myself, which will probably end up with the same result as junking it. Which would be a shame, the car is in really great shape otherwise. :(

John, we appreciate your inquiry. It would be best if we could discuss your wants and needs in more detail and inspect the truck. In general, we start a full resto by completely tearing down the vehicle, blasting, priming, assessing the metal work needed, and map things out from there. However if this is further than you are looking to go, there may be other cosmetic options. Please give us a call or arrange to stop by if you can so we can go over the project and your goals. Thanks and look forward to speaking with you!

We appreciate your looking to our business for your project needs. In order for us to blast the vehicle, we would need to take the body off and tear down the car completely to the bare shell. All components would need to be out down to every hinge, nut and bolt, wire, dash, suspension parts, etc. As it is your daily driver, this may be further than you are looking to go, however if you are interested in proceeding please give us a call so we can discuss further details. Thanks!

I have a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne 4 door Brougham that I'd like to fully strip of all paint on the bottom section of the car - roof is okay - front to back. I'd like to remove all the old paint first, then have it painted real soon thereafter. What would you estimate I'd be out of pocket to have all the old paint removed? How long would you need to have the car at your facility, its a daily driver for me. Thanks
