Wanting to get my 1987 GT Mustang painted, was wondering if you can give me a price range? Thank you.

  2. North Texas Customs says:

Hi John, there are many variables that determine cost, which is ultimately based on time and materials needed to get from the car’s current condition to your desired condition. We sent you an email with more details and look forward to speaking with you further. Thanks!

  3. Antonio says:

I have a 2001 mustang and want to do the theme from carid.com on their 2001 mustang (couture demon body kit that has the hotwheel painted on the hood). How much will somthing like that cost me. http://www.carid.com 2001 ford body kit. My mustang is already red amd I just want it repainted to to look like a new wet look or just new like the pic of the mustang on the website.

  4. North Texas Customs says:

Antonio, there are a few variables that can affect the price, such as how much time is required to prep the car for paint based on its current condition, whether the car is a convertible, whether there is a stencil kit available, what paint you use, and whether you want the graphics to be gloss or matte finish. If you can give us a call at 972-442-9793, we can go over options and pricing. Thanks!

  5. Mike Martin says:

I have a 67 GTO and it needs quite a bit of work. I would like to sandblast the frame and also the body while I restore the car. I would like to do it in pieces and would like your professional opinion on what I should do first and the approximate price range to start this up. I will have to do this in sections because of how much it will cost to get it done, so any help and suggestions is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mike Martin

  6. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Mike, you can break it up however you wish, it really depends on what you prefer. It would be cheaper to get the frame and suspension parts done first as there is less to blast. Sent you an email with some additional details; let us know if you have any questions – we’d be happy to help you out.

  7. Brittany Belcher says:

I have a 2008 Ford Mustang, the color is between yellow and orange, its probably called Tangerine or Sunkist, I was wondering the estimates if I wanted to put it in the shop to get it painted Hot Pink, like bubble gum or Pepto Pink, if you could give me an estimate I would apperciate it.

    Thank you,
    Brittany

  8. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Brittany, we appreciate your inquiry. For a newer car, you might want to check with a collision shop or custom shop that specializes in late model cars to see if they could do a scratch and shoot. While we could do it, we primarily handle older vehicles and generally prefer not to paint over other paint and bodywork. The process of removing the old paint would be much more invasive than you would want or need to go. Cost depends on labor time and materials, which differs greatly for every project, so it would be difficult to provide a general estimate, however you are welcome to call the shop anytime to ask questions or discuss further. Thanks!

  9. Sadie Carey says:

    Hi,

I was wondering if you only do custom paint jobs on older vehicles?? I have just bought a 98 Jeep that has fading paint. I am wanting to just get a completely new paint job. It also has some minor damage on one of the doors. Not sure if going to a custom body shop is the way someone like me should go.

    Peace

  10. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Sadie, we typically handle 1970′s and older, however Jeeps (CJ-TJ Wrangler models) can be a unique case due to their somewhat simple assembly. Treatment would probably depend on whether it is still in original paint (i.e. 14 years old), and the amount of work needed/desired. It would be best if you could bring it by so we can take a look at it and discuss our process and whether it’s right for your needs, or if you would be better going the collision shop route. Give us a call when you get a chance and we can set up a time. Thanks!

  11. Michael Blanchard says:

    Howdy y’all,
I was looking in to getting my 1964 corvette convertible painted. Just looking to have the same paint job redone. It’s kind of a navy blue. There is also a small crack in the fiberglass in the door that I can do myself but if I can get a good quote I might have y’all do it all. Shoot me an email with some info if y’all are interested in doing this.
    Thanks,
    Michael

  12. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Michael, thanks for your comment. We’ve sent you an email and look forward to speaking with you. Thanks!

  13. Kimberly says:

Hi, I have a 87 monte Carlo ss with t-tops. The problem is the top compartment is rusted out badly. I don’t know if it can be fixed or will it be easier to find another to chop and replace. Is this something your company is familiar with dealing with. The floor are rusted out also but I have replacements for them. What are your suggestion as to how I can restore my project.

  14. North Texas Customs says:

Thanks for your inquiry. Really the best thing to do is start with inspecting it to see whether the rust is structural, how much labor would be involved in repairing vs. replacing, and what the parts availability is for your car. We work with extensive rust rehab on most of our projects but sometimes a really bad case can be cost prohibitive, depending on the value of the car to you and what your ultimate goals are. We generally start a complete resto project by tearing the car completely down to the metal, media blasting to remove paint and rust, priming to seal and protect, and assessing the metal work needs from there. Depending on your budget and the pace at which you want to work, this can be a stopping point where you can figure out whether you are ready to proceed with the next step; if not, you can store the car and parts at your home or a storage facility, until you are ready to move forward, without incurring additional rust damage. Give us a call if you are interested in media blasting and we can take it from there.

  15. Lindsey says:

I have a 2004 G35 Infiniti. I am looking for a body shop that can transform the existing silver to graphite or black. Please contact me with an estimate.

  16. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Lindsey, we would be able to do this for you however our process and materials are different from those of a collision paint shop and as such, may exceed what you are looking for in terms of time and cost. If you are interested in discussing further, please give us a call or stop by with the car so we can take a look and go over some options with you. Thanks!

I’m currently in afghanistan and I finaly found the truck I’ve ben looking for for three years. I bought a 1962 chevy c10 short bed step side. The mechanics aren’t really an issue I just need a paint job. I know that the guy I baught it from basically just primered over the original paint so it will need to be sanded then painted. Was wondering if I could get am estimate I know its kind of hard especially since I’m of the country.

  19. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Cesar, we greatly appreciate your service to our country and would like you to know that we offer a 10% labor discount for military personnel as a way of saying thanks. Depending on where the car is currently located, we may be able to arrange an inspection as this would be the best starting point. If you can email location information and a local point of contact to info@northtxcustoms.com, we’d be happy to set that up and take it from there. If that’s not a possibility, maybe you could send some photos over so we can get some idea of what you are working with. Thanks!

  20. preston says:

Can you just give me a quick quote on a 2006 Police Crown Vic. I would like it to be Candy so what is the starting rate and if thats to much I would like to have a all white with a green pearl. Im in the military overseas right now so I just wanted a rough estimate so that if I like what I hear we can do some business. Thanks for your time

  21. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Preston, thanks for your inquiry. We do greatly appreciate your service and offer a 10% labor discount for military personnel. That being said, since we mainly work on 1973 and older vehicles, our process may not be the best fit for what you would need and you may be better off going with a shop that focuses on late-model customs. However let us know if you are interested in discussing further or would like a referral.

  22. Dillon says:

I have a 1993 swb single cab Chevy truck I’m looking to get painted a two tone and silver flake in the black. Truck body is in pretty decent condition with a door ding on driver side door and a ding under left tail light and I’m changing hood. And grill. Needing some est price if you could email me and I can send a picture of the paint scheme im wanting.

  23. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Dillon, thanks for your inquiry. You are welcome to email any photos and information to info@northtxcustoms.com. We typically do not paint over old paint, so depending on your goals and budget, our process may be more in depth than what you are looking for on a ’93. If you do want to proceed, we would need to inspect the truck in person and have a thorough conversation to go over what you are wanting and what it would take to get there. If you can give us a call at 972-442-9793 or arrange to stop by, we can get a better feel for the project.

  24. Cesar says:

I have a 1963 Chevy C10 short bed step side it already in primer I can send pictures if need be. I’m looking for one solid color the body is in decent condition. I have also already purshased a bunch of peices I wpould like to get replace like the grill, mirrors, bumpes and what not.

  25. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Cesar, thank you for your interest in our shop, it means a lot to us. We would definitely like to get started by seeing the vehicle. If you are able to bring it up to the shop, that would be great. If not, please send some pictures to info@northtxcustoms.com and we would be glad to review them and take it from there. We look forward to hearing from you.

  26. Alejandro says:

Have 2009 370z. Thinking of changing hood and front with body kit. What is cost of chrome paint job with flat black highlights? Will you do body kit also? Just need idea on cost ?

  27. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Alejandro, we appreciate your interest in our business for your project needs. As we typically only work on 1973 and older models, we have sent you an email referral for a shop that may be better suited to help. Thanks and let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

  28. Tiffany McLain says:

Can you tell me how much the 1968 rally green restoration was? My mom has had one since it was brand new as well, and I’m looking to get it restored for her. Please email me. Thanks!

  29. North Texas Customs says:

Tiffany, thank you for your interest in our shop to work on your mom’s Camaro. That green one you see above was actually also restored by the family of the owner (who had bought it new many years ago) as a surprise for him – it was a great build. Unfortunately we cannot give out any numbers without seeing the vehicle, noting its current condition, understanding how far you want to go with the restoration, or what level you would like to take it to. Each car is different and there are many variables to consider. We sent you an email and would like to have the opportunity to have a conversation in greater depth as well as take a look at the car if possible. Please let us know your availability and we look forward to speaking with you.

  30. MsIvonne says:

  31. MsIvonne says:

Im sorry, I didnt mean website but a price chart to have an idea I ment. Sorry lol

  32. North Texas Customs says:

Hi, we appreciate your inquiry into our shop. We are a full frame-off restoration shop focusing on 1973 and older models. All services are charged out by the hour; we have a rate schedule for media blasting, fabrication and welding, bodywork, paint, mechanical, and teardown/assembly. The amount of time required on an individual project can vary greatly depending on the vehicle’s needs and owner’s wants; likewise, the parts and materials required for any given project are a large variable in total cost. We recommend new customers contact us by phone or schedule a meeting for a more in-depth discussion about project needs and goals as well as applicable rates for each phase of work. Thanks!

  33. Rico says:

Hey i was wondering how much will it cost to do a black chrome candy paint job on my 09 chevy impala Ltz and wondering how long it would Take?

  34. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Rico, thank you for looking to our shop for your Impala. Unfortunately, we primarily work on 1973 and older models. We have sent you an email with a few recommendations for shops that handle late model customizations, hope you find it helpful.

I want to have my 2001 PT Cruiser candy painted. It sounds like you only do older cars. Can you recommend a good prep and painter. I live near George Bush and the Tollway. I want some one who is good and am willing to pay for a top quality custom paint job. I am not interested in someone who has minimal experience painting pear and candy.

  38. North Texas Customs says:

Joe, we apologize that we cannot help you with your project. We have sent you an email with a local recommendation. Best of luck and please let us know if we can be of assistance in the future. Thanks!
