Patches & Panels

Whether your project requires a small patch or a complete re-skinning, we can handle any welding and fabrication challenge. We go as in depth as you can get when it comes to panel replacement; the integrity of a car’s structure is crucial to safety, and proper panel installation is crucial for accurate fitment and gaps. With expertise on all types of makes and models, we can make sure the bones of your car are solid and correct; we use a frame jig and steel bracing to ensure accurate placement and eliminate any twisting or warping. Inspect our welding work and you will notice clean welds, smooth transitions, and what it looks like to do things the right way. A strong foundation will set the stage for a strong finish.

Need sheet metal or parts? Have us do your installation and we will match or beat any retail price for Dynacorn or AMD items. Visit our Parts Counter for more information.

He bought in 1956, so it was kinda new to him. And I would like to get started on it, cause i want him to drive it again like back then. I would like to know more or less of a price to stared. I can sent pictures if you want to see it? its been primered but the guy did a sloppy job on, I have all the parts. it’s all orginal. only parts i dont have are the fender skirts, they got stolen long time ago. Please tell me something postive.

Hi Pedro, thanks for contacting us. We definitely understand the sentimental value a car can hold and have worked on lots of family projects. You are welcome to send some photos to info@northtxcustoms.com, although ultimately it will need to be blasted and inspected in order to formulate a plan of attack. Luckily blasting and priming is a relatively affordable first step that will not only get you going but also stop and rust and corrosion from doing further damage while it sits. Also, starting with most of your parts already does put you ahead of most. Please give us a call at 972-442-9793 or schedule a visit so we can go over our process and your goals to see what we can do.

  5. Bill says:

Can you remove and recover a dash from a Porsche 944?

  6. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Bill, we can remove the dash but you would need to send it either to a place that specializes in dash restoration (like justdashes.com) or an upholstery shop that can recover it with vinyl or leather. Let us know if we can help!

  7. Juan B says:

I have a rust problem on my monte carlos T-Top.. Im thinking it needs major repair wanted to knw pricing on repair also wanted to treat it and paint for rust protection.

  8. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Juan, cost would depend on the time and materials needed to clean and repair the area. If you can email some good photos to info@northtxcustoms.com or bring the car by, we can get an initial idea of what you are looking at and take it from there. Thanks!

  9. Terry Rengers says:

I have a 1978 Ford Thunderbird and I need a panel that fits under the passenger door on the outside. It’s like a splash guard about 4 inches thick that runs from wheel to wheel. Chrome looking. Can you manufacture one for it?

  10. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Terry, check out this part or this part to see if one of those is what you need; if not it would probably be best to search Ebay or check junkyards and then have the chrome repaired. Hope this helps!

  11. Ron Seidel says:

I have a 1962 Corvette (fiberglass) that needs paint. Do you paint fiberglass?

  12. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Ron, yes we can and have have painted Corvettes; the work involved would depend on the current condition of the car. If you are able to give us a call or stop by we’d be happy to discuss some options. Thanks!

  13. Jeremy Howard says:

I have a 1967 Mustang Fastback GTA. Need to get a quote on what it would take to get it going. it runs and I have done alot of work on the engine.

Can someone please contact me to discuss further and maybe setup an appointment for you to look at it?

  14. North Texas Customs says:

Jeremy, thanks for your comment. We have a 65 Fastback in the shop now that we are just finishing up. We’ve sent you an email and look forward to speaking with you further about your 67. Thanks!

  15. juan says:

i have a 1989 ramcharger i would like to change the front end and put a 2011 dodge ram. How musch would it cost?

  16. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Juan, it would have to depend on the condition of your truck now, the labor required based on inspection, as well as parts and materials needed. Seeing as how we mainly work on 1973 and older vehicles, you may be best going with a customs shop that focuses more on late-model customs. However you are welcome to give us a call or stop by anytime.

  17. Blake fulsom says:

I have a 1993 caprice classic it has a red candy paint top and the rest of the car is pearl white I was wondering what the prices would b for you to do the inside the same colors

  18. North Texas Customs says:

Hi Blake, thanks for your inquiry. We typically don’t paint over existing paint, and it would be hard to remove the current interior paint (assuming it is painted now) without touching the exterior paint. However if there is a way for you to bring the car by, we can inspect it to see what you are working with and take it from there. Please give us a call to set up a time or if you have any questions.
