Paint & Body

With an in-house paint and body shop, we offer artisan-quality autobody craftsmanship and custom paint jobs to your specification.

Whether you want 3-stage special effects or simple flat black, we can deliver a beautiful coat of paint. But the vast majority of a successful paint job lies in the prep work; paint hides nothing. In addition to skilled spraywork, our body technicians offer expertise in panel fitment and alignment; welding, grinding, and filling; block sanding and wet sanding to remove waves, pinholes, and other imperfections; and color sanding and buffing to achieve a mirror-smooth polish.

We use De Beer and House of Kolor award-winning products; whether matching an original shade, choosing a unique color, or creating a one-of-a-kind formula, our focus is a high-end finish that you will be proud to show off.

A quality shop doesn’t mind showing you their process firsthand so you can see where your money is going. We invite you to tour our facility and check out the goods for yourself. You will find we we work with extreme care and precision to put out an excellent product that you can enjoy for many years.

Steps of our complete paint job include:

Disassembly and tear down
Stripping away old paint, rust, and grime
Metal work including rust repair and panel replacement
Panel hanging and gapping
Bodywork including applying primers, body filler (i.e. Bondo), and sealers, as well as extensive blocking, sanding, smoothing, and surface prep
Disassembly, prep, mask, and tape
Spraying multiple layers of paint and clear coat
Color sanding and buffing
Reassembly

We occasionally receive inquiries about painting over old paint or someone else’s bodywork. In such a situation, there is no way to know what materials were used, when the outside work was done, or whether it was done properly. Media blasting, whether through our shop or elsewhere, is highly recommended to ensure a clean palette for bodywork. We are unable to guarantee any paintwork over previous surface work done outside of our shop due to potential chemical reactions beyond our control.

    1. Hi Santiago, thanks for inquiring. We are mainly set up for 1970’s and older cars and start our projects with complete disassembly and media blasting. As this is probably more in depth than you would want to go, you might want to check with a few late model customs shops or collision shops and get a few estimates to compare. Best of luck and please let us know if we can be of any assistance.

  1. Hi, I have a 1966 f100 and I was wondering if you could give me an estimate of about the cost to paint my truck. It’s just an old paint job done by the last owner and I want to clean it up and make it new again.

    1. Hi Chase, thanks for your inquiry. There are many variables that will affect the price, such as rust repair, the extent of bodywork needed, and paint color. We would need to see the truck and discuss a few details to get an idea of what needs to be done, although we typically recommend starting with complete disassembly and blasting in order to start with a clean surface and assess metal work needs. We have several trucks in the shop now in various stages of work that we can show you. Please give us a call or stop by if you are able to and we can go over everything.

  2. Hello I have a 70 chevelle and was wondering how much would charge for painting the car 1 color, the thin stripes 1, color and the wide stripes 1 color. Basically 3 colors metallic paint on each. I don’t need custom colors just 3 different metallic colors.. Thanks in advance

    1. Hi Reese, thanks for contacting us. The cost of paint and bodywork is dependent on many factors including the current condition of the vehicle. If you could, please email us a few pictures of the vehicle as it is now, or if you are able to bring it by we can take a look in person and discuss a few details with you.

    1. Hi Harold, if it’s a factory vehicle color, there’s a pretty extensive database to help determine the code, and we also have a large swatch library. If that didn’t do the trick, we would send a sample out to our paint store to either identify and produce it or formulate a custom color.

  3. Hi. Do you work on newer light trucks? I have a ’14 silverado. Would like the grille painted or dipped/coated what have you.

    1. Hi Tan, we mainly handle 1970’s and older. Try checking with a late model customs shop like Detroit Customs in Sachse. Thanks and hope that helps.

  4. Can you restore a 1971 K5 fiberglass hardtop? It’s in pretty good shape already but does have a few cracks that need to be repaired. It would then need to be painted again.

    1. Hi Ed, we appreciate your inquiry. We are able to do minor fiberglass repair; however depending on the extent of the work needed, we may refer you to someone who specializes in that, such as Carr’s Corvettes. If you could bring it by, we’d be happy to take a look. Either way, we can do the paintwork.

  5. Hey I’ve been looking for a paint and bod shop for a while now would you guys be willing to color match my grill from my 2008 f250 and paint my mirrors the same color as the truck?? I know y’all are more of a hot rod shop but figured id ask anyway since I just want my grill and mirrors painted

    1. Hi Jesus, thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately we aren’t really set up for late model jobs; you may be best off visiting a few shops in your area and comparing estimates. It shouldn’t set you back too much since the mirrors and grill can most likely be painted off the car and won’t require blending. You could get an automotive paint shop to do the color match and purchase your own materials as well. Best of luck!

  6. I have a 71 firebird. could your shop install a set of T-tops in it???
I know u cant give me any exacts but whats a loose estimate on price

    1. Hi Darius, thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we would tend not to take on that particular customization due to potential fitment issues; the T-top kits were not introduced until the mid-70’s so you would need to retrofit a ’71. Not only could this compromise your structural integrity, but they are notorious for leaking as well. You may want to try contacting Texas Trams Ams in Fort Worth to see if they can help.
